About Us

The Club

The Great Bears are a Riders Club and constellation of the International Star Riders Association.

We are a friendly bunch of like-minded guys and gals who enjoy taking the piss on our Forum and occasionally go out riding when it's not raining. Most of us ride the Star-range of bikes but we do have some non-Star riders in our ranks as well.

We have a couple of monthly meetings but it's always best to check on the forum to see if anybody is going - especially in the winter months! We also organise 2-3 rallies every year where members can enjoy a whole weekend of pisstaking.

Membership

Membership is free and warmly welcomed - sign up on the ISRA site and then pop into the Forum and introduce yourself, or just come to one of our meetings. If you like you can also send your mugshot to the Webmaster for our Members Listing.

Our Name

Why Great Bears? Partly because the initials are GB, but also, in the Native American tradition the different continents are given animal names to distinguish them.

America is known as Turtle Island whilst Great Britain is: BEAR ISLAND.
